Labcorpis seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join theirSpecimenManagementteam in Houston TX.
Work Schedule: This is a casual/per diem position hours will be as needed. Start and end times will vary from Monday- Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm and weekends 7:00am-3:30pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Act a liaison between the lab clients and patients.
Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls instant messenger & email communications
Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.
Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
Provide customer education and information as needed.
Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1 year ormore ofexperiencein the healthcare industry such as a physicians officeclinic or hospital
PreferredQualification:
Current or priorLabcorpexperience
Associates degree
1 yearormore ofexperiencein customer service
Additional Job Standards
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Well-versed in applications like Microsoft Outlook Excel Word and willingness to learn new applications
Ability tolift upto 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
