The Specialty Access Center (SAC) is an inbound fast-paced high-volume center with an average of 6000 calls per day. The SAC supports multiple Adult and Pediatric Specialties which include Cardiology Dermatology ENT Med-Surg Neuroscience Oncology Ophthalmology Primary Care Pulmonology Solid Organ Transplant Urology Womens Health and so many more! As the first point of contact the SAC provides essential support in connecting patients with the care they need.
What you will do as a Specialty Scheduling Coordinator:
- Answers coordinates and facilitates all calls for patient scheduling for the service line in a timely manner
- Secures information pertinent to the patient visit
- Completes intake with as much data/facts/information as possible to assure appropriate registration scheduling and insurance coverage
- Collaborates with multiple supervisors managers operations directors and service line leaders
- Works closely and effectively with clinic team to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately in the correct timeframe
- Documents scheduling and/or referral process in Epic and documents returned calls by date time and method
- Communicates verbal and written information in clear concise accurate and timely manner
What you will need:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in patient scheduling and registration in a healthcare setting
- 2 - 3 years of strong customer service experience
- Excellent phone management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Location: At this time this position will be working remote (MN residents only)
Hours: 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation:
