Job Summary
Plans directs and manages the clinical activities of a specialty program and provides specialty care either directly or indirectly to patients. Maintains and monitors the program database and analyzes the data. Serves as a liaison between nursing staff medical staff pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals patients and their families. Works collaboratively with leadership teams to conduct needs assessments/gap analyses to identify interventions to address gaps in performance. The coordinator develops plans and implements education that facilitates the professional growth skill development initial/ongoing competence and attainment of standards of care to enhance patient safety for direct care providers. They evaluate outcomes of interventions with a focus on quality safety and evidence-based practices. The coordinator role requires a collaborative relationship with the leadership teams to implement changes and establish clinical accountabilities for program success.
- Require two (2) years of satisfactory RN experience; preferably in a designated specialty.
- Prefer certification in a specialty area.
- Prefer membership in a professional organization associated with specialty.
- Prefer program management teaching consulting and outcome management experience.
BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
