Job Description:
As a Systems Engineer Specialist in our IR Sensors business area you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of programs helping solve some of our customers most difficult technical this role you will support our IR development and/or production programs. You may serve as the technical lead for a small program or work as part of a team performing technical planning design analysis implementation system integration validation and verification. Analyses are conducted at all levels including concept design fabrication test installation operation maintenance and disposal.

Essential Functions:
Systems engineering for EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red) sensor systems.
Lead or support technical planning system integration validation and verification activities in support of programs and development efforts.
Judgment and Decision Making Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution.
Systems Analysis Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions operations and the environment will affect outcomes / performance.
Systems Evaluation Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system.
Lead or support across system development lifecycle.
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronics Computer Physics or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Demonstrated experience within the EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red) sensor field
Demonstrated experience in a technical discipline supporting EO/IR sensor or component work
Experience writing BOEs and supporting proposals
Demonstrated experience in the architecture specification implementation simulation test verification validation and debugging
Demonstrated complex problem solving and decision making. Able to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions; able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution
Excellent interpersonal skills ability to work well within and outside of the organization including customers vendors and leadership with minimal oversight
Knowledge of military and/or NASA component specifications design processes and hardware test/verification procedures.
