Job Description:

L3Harris seeks skilled Software Engineers to join our System Software group where you will architect next-generation mission-critical solutions. Our team is responsible for developing the core software infrastructure that integrates advanced communications technologies across complex subsystems. Essential Functions:

• Knowledge and experience of embedded real-time software development (VxWorks/Linux)
• Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements interface software and hardware components and collaborate on system design
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis design implementation integration and formal testing
• Contribute to software test plans procedures and other relevant technical documentation
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages compilers and application execution
• Participate in peer reviews identify track and repair defects
• Utilize a variety of software languages on Windows Linux and embedded real time operating systems

• Occasional customer support travel (5%)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with C
• Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages compilers and application execution
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
• Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System).
• Working knowledge of signal processing control systems theory or networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with key protocols such as IP UDP TCP IPSec DDS or SNMP
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Solid presentation and writing skills
• Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
