Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Relocation Specialists primary responsibilities of this position are coordination and set up of University-related events including event setup/installation and subsequent take-down/removal of all equipment and materials including general cleanup and restoration of rooms and areas after conclusion of event. University-related events include but are not limited to events booked by the Universitys Conferences and Events Center and other University departments (setting up graduations weddings banquets etc.) Secondary responsibilities include delivering items to campus and to departments across campus such as boxed or pallet shipping. Sometimes off campus pickup and delivery. Pickup and delivery of office furniture and occasionally resident hall furniture. The Relocation specialist position is a part of Facilities Management that serves the campus community. This includes but is not limited to helping with departments or other facility shops to ensure the campus has successful and efficient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One year of work experience

Licensure & Certifications: Valid state drivers license is required

  • 60% - Completes Daily Work Orders - (Essential)
  • 20% - Event Coordinator/Setup/Take-down: Graduation Catered Events Groundbreaking Ceremonies Dedications Installations Homecoming Festivities Music Events and other events as directed. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Delivers New and Existing Furniture and Equipment - (Essential)
  • 10% - Provides courier service to extended campus locations - (Essential)
