Job Description:
As a Specialist Network Engineer you will work with the Systems and Cybersecurity Engineering team to design and model network architecture based on customer requirements. You will analyze plan and modify network components or software develop and evaluate network performance criteria and prepare capacity needs analysis for switching routing transmission and signaling. This position supports the innovative and collaborative Surveillance Systems division known for its exceptional performance and trusted by customers.
In this position you will hone your network engineering relevant experience in a network engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!
Essential Functions:
- Network engineering experience with IP networks
- Evaluate technologies and designs in relation to the critical infrastructure and service needs
- Experience in configuring & hardening routers switches firewalls VOIP and Satellite long-haul communications capability.
- Familiarity with leading network vendors such as HP/HPE Cisco Juniper Arista F5
- Experience in implementation and troubleshooting experience of IP networks.
- Familiarity in the application of DISA SRGs and STIGs
- Familiarity with implementing patches scanning remediating findings auditing
- Proficient in developing and maintaining security and configuration documentation
- Good written and verbal professional skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required
- Possess DOD 8570.01M IAT-2 certification
- Possess CCNA certification or an equivalent vendor certification
Preferred Additional Skills:
- CCNP or equivalent vendor certification
- Ability to plan implement verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks
- Experience implementing and managing carrier grade network and network technologies such as Carrier Ethernet technologies.
- Familiarity with GFE applications such as Manticore and Cracken security applications
- Experience in the configuration and implementation of Type-1 encryption used in encryption of data in transit (KG family of encryptors)
- Familiarity with Network Management Systems (NMS) (Cisco Prime HP OpenView Etc.)
- Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts and technologies (OpenFlow Cisco ACI Etc.)
- Familiarity with Cloud Networking services and architectures (AWS Azure or Google Cloud networking Etc.)
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Networking Architecture (ZTNA) concepts and technologies
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $76500-$142500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
