The Associate IR Special Procedures Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology assisting in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include operating specialized equipment ensuring patient safety and comfort and providing critical support during complex medical procedures. This role also requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Schedule: Days (Four 10-hour day per week)

On Call: Required.

Associate IR Special Procedure Technologist:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: no experience required.
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certification: ARRT (R); Basic Life Support (BLS)

IR Special Procedure Technologist:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
  • Experience: 1 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certification: AART (R) OR RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS)



Advanced IR Special Procedure Technologist:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certification: ARRT (R) with 1 Advanced registry (CI or VI) OR RCIS OR ARRT (R) with 5 years of relevant experience; Basic Life Support (BLS)

Senior IR Special Procedure Technologist:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.
  • Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
  • Certification: ARRT (R) with 1 Advanced registry (CI or VI) OR RCIS OR ARRT (R) with 5 years of relevant experience; Basic Life Support (BLS)
