Special Needs School Bus AM Dispatcher

Schedule: 5:30 AM 1:30 PM

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AM Dispatcher to support our special needs school bus operations. This role ensures safe on-time transportation for students by coordinating drivers monitoring routes and communicating with schools and families during morning service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee morning routes to ensure on-time performance and full coverage

• Communicate with drivers attendants schools and parents regarding delays or issues

• Assign spare drivers and adjust routes as needed in real time

• Support drivers with directions student needs and problem-solving

• Respond quickly to service disruptions and escalate when necessary

• Maintain accurate logs of delays incidents and route activity

Qualifications:

• Dispatch transportation or logistics experience preferred

• School bus or special needs transportation experience a plus

• Strong communication and multitasking skills

• Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer skills (email routing/GPS systems)
