• Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operators license.
• Incumbents in this class must obtain and retain appointment by the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection as a Special Police Officer.
• Candidates for this class are subject to selection standards pursuant to Section 7-294a - e of the Connecticut General Statutes and regulations of the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council.

• Incumbents in this class must be in good health and must have and retain sufficient physical strength stamina agility visual and auditory acuity to effectively perform the duties of the class.
