Job Summary

Special Education Teacher Elementary Autism Program Illinois Maternity Leave Assignment

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide maternity leave coverage at an Illinois elementary school from August 13 through November 9. This full-time school-based opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a structured self-contained autism classroom.

In this role you will work with a small caseload of nine students in grades 35 delivering individualized instruction that promotes academic behavioral communication and social-emotional growth. Youll collaborate with related service providers school staff and families to foster a positive inclusive learning environment while ensuring each students unique educational needs are met.

Further Details:

Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Maintain accurate progress monitoring documentation and student records.
Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained elementary autism classroom.
Partner with families general education staff and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
Create a structured engaging classroom environment that encourages independence and positive behavior.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
Commitment to fostering student growth in a supportive educational setting.
Experience working with students with autism or in a self-contained classroom is preferred.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensures.
