Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a resource classroom setting in Summerville South Carolina. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students in grades 6 8 by providing individualized instruction and academic support.

• Position: Special Education Teacher (Resource)
• Location: Summerville SC
• Grade Level: 6th 8th Grade
• Assignment Dates: July 28 2026 May 29 2027
• Caseload: Approximately 23 students
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Licensure Required: Active South Carolina Special Education Endorsement

• Deliver resource-based instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students with diverse learning needs in academic growth and skill development
• Collaborate with general education teachers support staff and families
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a supportive structured and inclusive classroom environment

• Active SC SPED endorsement
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
