Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED) Autism Long-Term Substitute
Location: Leesburg VA
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 8:50 AM 3:40 PM
Pay Rate: $40 $45 per hour
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to serve in a long-term substitute role supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and create a structured supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and social-emotional development.
Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with ASD
Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to student learning needs
Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies to support achievement
Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and support plans
Collaborate with parents related service providers and school staff to ensure student success
Maintain accurate documentation including progress reports and IEP records
Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and professional development as required
Foster a safe structured and engaging learning environment
Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field
Active Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
