Join our non-public special education certified school serving girls ages 1328 with complex educational behavioral and therapeutic needs. Our students often come to us followingpreviousplacements through DCYF and benefit from a highly structured trauma-informed environment focused on healing growth and individualized support.

Position Summary:Provide specialized and individualized instruction forstudents with significant emotional/behavioralneedsas well as learning needsin a clinical residential school setting. Develop andmonitorstudent Individual Education Programs (IEP)in accordance withDepartment of Education regulations and collaboratively with the management team to ensuresafety stability andwellbeing ofresidents in our care that have been placed through the Department of Children Youth and is a full-timeyear-roundposition.

Qualifications:

• BachelorsDegree in Teaching or Education
• RICertificationinSpecialEducation
• Experience with children with behavioral/psychiatric challenges
• Skilled in operating variousmedicalrecord software and hardware word-processing and database software programs
• Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated
• Excellent multitasking and communication skillsa must
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6% above base pay.
• Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8% above base pay.
• Candidates with a masters degree will receive an additional $3000. Additional compensation is available for educators certified and able to teach in multiple subject areas.

Physical Requirements:This position requires community visits employees in this position must have the ability to:

• Current drivers license reliable transportationregistrationand auto insurance
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Travel to and from community locations and office site which could include using walkwaysstairsand/or elevators
• Ability tolift upto 20lbs
• Provide emergency coverage; ratio to the programs as needed.
