Special Education Teacher

Pay:$60-75 per hour

Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED) Mod/Severe or ESN (H1-B Sponsorship Available)
Location: Sacramento CA (In-Person)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time School Year
Pay Rate: $6075 per hour

Ascend is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students with diverse learning needs in a supportive and inclusive educational environment. We are looking for educators committed to student growth collaboration and the creation of meaningful learning experiences for students with moderate to severe disabilities.

• Provide specialized academic instruction aligned with IEP goals and California State Standards
• Develop and implement individualized and small-group instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies
• Support students with mild to moderate and/or moderate to severe disabilities in classroom and alternative educational settings
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor academic and behavioral progress
• Develop manage and maintain compliant IEPs including progress reports and documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers paraprofessionals and families
• Utilize adaptive technology and instructional supports to increase student access to curriculum
• Implement positive behavior intervention strategies and classroom management techniques
• Support student transition planning vocational readiness and life skills development when applicable
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district state and federal guidelines
• Participate in team meetings professional development and school-wide initiatives

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential required
• Experience with Mod/Severe or ESN classrooms strongly preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills
• Commitment to equity inclusion and student-centered practices
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments
