Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team providing individualized education to hospitalized students. This role plays a vital part in supporting students academic emotional and developmental growth during treatment with instruction tailored to their unique needs.

• Lead and manage the classroom environment including teacher assistants and students
• Develop and implement flexible individualized lesson plans that support academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with clinical medical and nursing teams to align education with treatment goals
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Monitor assess and document student progress in alignment with IEP goals and hospital policies
• Support students through transitions and discharge planning maintaining communication with families and home schools
• Foster a positive structured learning environment that supports behavior management and engagement
• Maintain accurate academic and behavioral records as required

• Education: Bachelors degree in Education
• Certification: Valid Montana teaching certificate
• Endorsement: Special Education minor/endorsement required
• Experience: Demonstrated experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges
