Special Education Teacher

Riverdale School is looking for a talented special educator to join our team...!

Candidates must hold a Massachusetts Teacher License in Special Education. Dual certifications and prior classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilites include:

• plan prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences through theDistrictcurriculum with modifications and accomodations as needed.
• establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• use relevant technology to support instruction
• observe and evaluate student performance and development
• provide appropriate feedback on work
• encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
• maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development
• prepare required reports on students and activities such as. progress reports and IEPs.
• manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• participate in department and school meetings parent meetings
• communicate necessary information regularly to students colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• collaborate with special education stff general education staff and support staff
