Special Education Teacher

Description:
We are seeking a committed and collaborative Middle School Special Education Teacher (Learning Specialist) for theschool year in Broomfield CO. This onsite role is focuses on supporting student success through inclusive co-taught classroom instruction and targeted academic interventions.

The Learning Specialist will primarily co-teach Language Arts and/or Math while also providing targeted instruction in areas such as literacy executive functioning and foundational math skills. This role plays a key part in ensuring access to grade-level curriculum and individualized academic support for students with diverse learning needs.

Caseload & Structure:

• Typical caseload of approximately 25 students (may flex based on enrollment)
• Combination of co-teaching and small-group targeted instruction
• Focus on academic support skill development and inclusion practices

School-Based Support & Collaboration:
Offers a strong and collaborative special education environment including:

• 3 additional Learning Specialists on site
• Affective Needs Teacher and Significant Support Needs Teacher
• Deaf and Hard of Hearing program
• Daily Speech-Language and Mental Health support services
• Assigned Physical Therapist (PT) and Occupational Therapist (OT)
• District-level behavior specialists and instructional coordinators supporting building teams
