Special Education Supervisor Iowa

Provides leadership administrative oversight and instructional guidance to ensure compliant high-quality educational programs for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include managing Individualized Education Program (IEP) compliance coaching staff developing curricula and providing professional development.

• Compliance and Legal Oversight: Ensure all special education services IEPs and 504 plans comply with federal and state regulations (e.g. IDEA).
• Staff Supervision and Evaluation: Observe mentor and coach special education teachers and support staff (para-educators).
• Curriculum and Instruction: Develop implement and monitor specialized curricula and instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
• Student Support Services: Assist with referrals evaluations placement decisions and behavioral support (FBA/PBSP).
• Data Management: Maintain legal records and analyze student performance data to drive decision-making.
• Drive improved student outcomes through data-informed instructional strategies.
• Reduce compliance risk through proactive monitoring and staff training.
• Travel Required

• Intervention Specialist License: Required
• Education Required:
• Bachelors degree Masters degree preferred
• Experience preferred: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in SPED leadership
