Job Summary:
Under the direction of the administrators the paraprofessional is responsible for providing support to high school students.
Qualifications:
Required:
an associates (or higher) degree or completed two years of study at an institution of higher education or completed ETS Parapro Assessment. This is within the guidelines for the requirements for the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.

success as a collaborator and proven team player

Desired Characteristics:
- Previous experience working with children
- Instructional aide experience and clerical skills
- Experience working with at risk students preferred
- Interest /aptitude in secondary math and science
- Experience using technology as an instructional tool in the classroom
Duties:
- Assist high school students in classroom individually and in small groups
- Support educational objectives as given by the teacher
- Maintain student information
- Work independently and cooperatively with administrators and teachers
- Provides individual assistance with work assignments
- Ability to plan and organize; good work habits
- May need to lift and physically redirect students
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration
