Job Summary
The Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.
- Identifies and prioritizes areas of the general education curriculum & accommodations for students needing specialized instruction
- Administers assessment to support instruction
- Follows due process requirements
The Facilitator assists in planning assessing developing and implementing special education due process procedures and/or special education programs. Ensure development and implementation of specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives.
- Provides support to due process procedures and compliance requirements.
- Provides professional development to teachers and administration in areas of responsibility.
- Provides resources and consultation to assist in meeting student needs.

Education and Experience:
Current Minnesota teaching license required in Special Education in the assigned area of responsibility and/or the ability to obtain.
