    Contract Length/ Days:(2026-2027 School Year 186 Days) 1.0 FTE

    Salary:Salary placement on our Certified Salary schedule is dependent on the employees education and/or work experience. Certified/licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of ten (10) years which includes in-district and out-of-district contractual teaching and/or work experience.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Required:

    • Bachelors degree
    • ColoradoTeaching License (Endorsement in related field)

    Preferred:

    • Experience in related field
    • Bilingual
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification (can be obtained after hire)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Summary/Objective:The Special Education Coach will primarily work with staff and students in Significant Support Needs (SSN) person must work well with others communicate effectively with staff students and parents demonstrate understanding and effective practice of special education programs and services and demonstrate knowledge of community resources as may be required for the position. Provide professional development monitor and support the implementation of District systems policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions:

    • Provide an array of academic affective and behavioral interventions including individual group andsystems-based strategies tailored to the unique needs of students.
    • Work collaboratively to develop and deliver effective academic instructional and behavioral strategies to support students with disabilities.
    • As a result of coaching there is an improved model of collaboration by special education staff with general education teachers.
    • Provide research-based curriculum instruction and intervention ideas and resources to the staff.
    • Model strategies for staff when working with students.
    • Gather data to facilitate planning and implementation of interventions including the useof functional behavioral assessment and the creation and revision of behavior support plans.
    • Gather data to facilitate planning and implementation of academic instructional strategies including support/consultation onthe Response to Intervention process.
    • Help to design effective classroom management procedures and strategies to support students with behavioral and emotional needs.
    • Develop and provide ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of programs through data collection and analysis collaborative teaming and focused student outcomes.
    • Network with community agencies to assist students and families with the navigation of community resource systems.
    • Provide ongoing training opportunities in order to educate support staff within the school community to support effective programming for students with disabilities.
    • Provide supervision coaching training and support to paraprofessionals serving students with disabilities.
    • Provide administrative intervention in alignment withdistrict-adopted programming for students with disabilities.
    • Consult with site leadership to determine appropriate preventative and remedial services for students with disabilities.
    • Assist in the implementation of instructional and behavioral strategies.
