Youll work with purpose knowing that every drop of water we deliver makes a difference and that our customers trust us to uphold the highest standards of reliability sustainability and & Scope: The Spare Control Room Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pumping and storage facilities distribution system assets and associated control valves. The role requires the use of multiple software platformsincluding SCADA eOps Smartsheet and the Microsoft 365 Suiteto monitor manage and document system performance. The position serves as a central communication hub supporting both routine operations and emergency response : 11PM-7AM: Wednesday-Sunday. Hours subject to change based on business : Operate and monitor the distribution system using the SCADA platform to ensure reliable efficient system accurate operational logs system records and related with Field Service Field Operations Engineering Recreation and Customer Service teams regarding system conditions and operational and respond to all Control Room systems including access control flood warning video surveillance radio communications and emergency notification as the primary communication point for internal staff and external coordinate and initiate appropriate responses to emergency situations during both regular and afterhours compliance with occupational health and safety regulations organizational safety procedures and operational shift coverage as needed including nights weekends holidays and shortnotice schedule changes to support 24/7 facility safety and security through operation of the access control system at 90 Sargent Drive and remote monitoring of four Water Treatment and track operational information including but not limited to: gate operations hydrants placed in or out of service confined space entries and exits emergencies to oncall personnel law enforcement and first responders as and manage gate access for treatment plants pump stations and other critical and collect keys and access cards for cleaning personnel and contractors working after monitor the health of the distribution system to ensure proper asset operational issues occurring during the shift including communication failures main breaks and SCADA : High school diploma or equivalentDistribution Operations Certificate PreferredUnderstanding of basic hydraulic principles necessary to operate a water distribution systemFamiliar with the use of computers and computerized work stationsAbility to work independently without direct supervisionStrong problem solving skillsKnowledge of RWA practices and processesExperience in a service related environmentAble to Speak Read and Write EnglishExperience with system hydraulics water treatment and/or plumbingExperience working in a busy operational environment while balancing various competing priorities of the jobFamiliarity with computersSmartsheet Microsoft 365 Suite and other technologies utilized to effectively and efficiently manage the distribution system.
