Spanish Teacher | Rosary College Prep (Aurora, IL)

Reports To: Head of School and Chief Operating Officer
Status: Full-Time Exempt 10-Month Employee

Rosary College Prep an all-girls Catholic Dominican college preparatory high school in Aurora Illinois seeks a passionate and mission-driven full-time or part-time Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop proficiency in the Spanish language while fostering an appreciation for Hispanic cultures and global citizenship. This educator will create engaging learning experiences that promote communication critical thinking collaboration and confidence in a college preparatory environment.

As a member of the Rosary community the Spanish teacher supports the schools mission by integrating faith academic excellence leadership and service into the educational experience. The ideal candidate values the unique benefits of all-girls education and is committed to empowering young women to become confident leaders and lifelong learners.

• Teach Spanish courses at various levels using effective student-centered instructional practices.
• Develop engaging lesson plans assessments and learning activities aligned with curriculum standards and world language best practices.
• Foster language acquisition through speaking listening reading and writing experiences.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate attendance grading and assessment records.
• Communicate regularly with students parents and colleagues regarding academic progress and student success.
• Provide academic support through office hours tutoring and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school initiatives and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Participate in faculty meetings professional development activities retreats liturgies and school events.
• Support and uphold the mission philosophy and values of Rosary College Prep.

• Bachelors degree in Spanish World Languages Education or a related field required.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement or ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong content knowledge and effective instructional practices in world language education.
• Excellent communication organization and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Rosary College Prep.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students families and colleagues.
