Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated Teacher to provide standards-based instruction to K-12 students who are visually impaired including those with multiple disabilities. The ideal candidate will develop and deliver individualized lesson plans support student growth through IEP goals collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive learning environment. Candidates with a teaching license in any content area are encouraged to apply. Spanish endorsement is preferred and candidates must be willing to obtain a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement within five years.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with Tennessee State Standards and student IEPs.
- Prepare lesson plans and adapt instructional materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Monitor student progress collect data and maintain accurate documentation.
- Create a positive engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with educators therapists and support staff to implement student learning plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents and participate in IEP meetings.
- Utilize assistive technology and instructional technology to support student learning.
- Participate in professional development school activities and field trips as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Education from an accredited institution.
- Valid Tennessee teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
- Spanish endorsement preferred.
- Willingness to obtain a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement within five years.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or visual impairments is preferred.
