Solutions Engineer

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is building a new Solution Engineering team dedicated to delivering technology solutions for Nucors Bar and Engineered Bar Mill Group. We are seeking a Solution Engineer to build the applications and integrations that create measurable business value and improve how Nucor serves its customers.

This team will initially focus on digital ordering and commercial capabilities but will evolve to address the Groups highest-value business opportunities. As a core contributor on a small high-impact team you will build full-stack features across application development enterprise integrations cloud infrastructure and data platforms. You will work alongside the Team Lead and Senior Solution Engineer who set technical direction and support your growth and you will use AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of how the team builds tests and ships.

This is not a maintenance role. You will help build something new and develop deep domain knowledge in how Nucors Bar and Engineered Bar Mill Group does business.

This is a full-time position based in Dallas TX or another Nucor division location.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and working with enterprise data.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools to real engineering work.

• Experience building customer-facing products with direct user impact.
• Experience integrating with Oracle EBS or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience with Azure AWS or GCP cloud technologies.
• Experience developing applications using React and TypeScript.
• Experience with enterprise design systems and component libraries.
• Experience with data pipelines authentication frameworks or AI/agent-based solutions.
• Manufacturing industrial or B2B commerce experience is a plus.
