Job Summary
Role Summary
This senior-level position is responsible for strategy architecture and innovation spanning business application platform integration and data domains with working knowledge of AI/ML-enabled capabilities where they support business outcomes. The role partners with senior business and technology leaders subject matter experts and business architecture stakeholders to bridge current-state needs with future-state objectives producing technology strategies roadmaps and solution architectures that drive transformation.
In this role you will draw upon deep solution architecture experience to help stakeholders craft communicate and align on strategic perspectives target-state designs and delivery roadmaps. You will be expected to understand complex business processes system interactions and data flows and to develop modern scalable architectures that support large-scale transformation initiativesincluding analytics automation and select AI-enabled products.
Key Responsibilities
This role:
Leads solution architecture across complex initiatives through requirements analysis architectural leadership and oversight of architecture outcomes across delivery phases.
Designs solution architectures for large or complex programsincluding application integration data and platform designsin alignment with enterprise strategies standards and target-state roadmaps.
Develops and governs architecture patterns for APIs/integration event/messaging security resiliency and cloud adoption; ensures reuse and consistency across the portfolio.
Defines data architecture guidance (logical and physical models canonical data structures data domains master/reference data and lifecycle approaches) to support operational and analytical use cases.
Provides architectural leadership for data platforms and ecosystems such as data warehousing data lakes/lakehouses analytical platforms streaming architectures and cloud-native data services.
Establishes best practices for data modeling data integration data quality metadata management lineage and retentionensuring data is reliable well-governed and fit for downstream analytics and automation.
Partners with business product engineering and analytics teams to ensure architectures support reporting regulatory operational and advanced analytics needs including developing reference architectures and reusable patterns.
Advises delivery teams on architectural tradeoffs solution options platform capabilities and engineering practices; supports alignment on implementation approaches and technical standards.
Ensures non-functional requirements are addressed (scalability performance resiliency observability maintainability security privacy and regulatory compliance) and applies appropriate architectural tactics to meet them.
Aligns architecture with risk governance and control partners ensuring solutions comply with enterprise security privacy data governance and regulatory expectations.
Communicates effectively with stakeholders to analyze business requirements data needs and processes; produces architecture recommendations that align business strategy with technology capabilities.
Drives enterprise systems thinking maintaining a broad understanding of application infrastructure integration and data architectures and how they collectively enable business capabilities.
Explores emerging technologies (e.g. cloud-native services modern integration approaches data/analytics platforms and AI-enabled capabilities) and develops pragmatic viewpoints on where they create value and where they introduce risk.
AI/ML and Generative AI Enablement (as needed for modern architecture)
While this is a traditional solution architecture role candidates should have working knowledge and practical experience enabling AI/ML and/or Generative AI capabilities where they provide measurable business value.
This includes:
Ensuring architectures support AI/analytics readiness including data quality timeliness lineage and availability for analytical and automation use cases.
Understanding common AI/ML platform concepts (e.g. model training/inference services monitoring feature engineering and governance) sufficient to collaborate effectively with specialized teams.
Partnering with governance and risk stakeholders to promote responsible use of AI including appropriate controls for security privacy auditability and regulatory expectations.
Applying solution architecture discipline to AI-enabled components (e.g. service integration secure access patterns model monitoring and operationalization considerations) when included in broader solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Significant experience in solution architecture across application integration platform and data domains in large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of business architecture concepts business capability mapping and aligning technology solutions to business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to produce and govern architecture artifacts such as:
otarget-state architectures and roadmaps
osolution designs and integration patterns
oreference architectures and reusable standards
odecision records and risk/controls alignment documentation
Strong knowledge of integration patterns (API-led connectivity event-driven architecture messaging batch/file transfer where needed) and platform considerations for scalability and resiliency.
Solid understanding of data architecture and data management practices (modeling data quality lineage metadata retention and governance).
Working knowledge of cloud architectures and cloud-native services including security and operational considerations.
Strong consulting communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to drive alignment across diverse teams and leadership levels.
Strategic mindset paired with delivery pragmatismable to shape direction while supporting execution.

- Develops solution architecture and resolves complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis expertise support and project supervision.
- Designs solution architecture in large or complex programs including system and application designs software and technical architecture in accordance with strategies and objectives.
- Provides expertise for the solution architecture team and other IT staff on a variety of issues in software designs system architecture and solution-oriented technologies.
- Communicates with clients and analyses business requirements and processes; makes recommendations and leads in shaping future plans in solution architecture.
- Oversees solution architecture project outcomes including hardware and software design; ensures that each project phase meets overall requirements.
