Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• High school graduation or equivalency.

Experience:

• At least 9-12 months of experience in a similar or related position.

Physical Demands:

• This role requires heavy physical exertion and effort.

Licenses and Certifications:

• A valid Arizona Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required at the time of hire.

• Depending on the assignment a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and/or Tanker and HazMAT endorsements may be required within 12 months of hire.

Peorias Public Works Department has an excellent opportunity for an Equipment Operator in the residential collection division.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Heavy equipment in the completion of assigned tasks such as excavating trenching street cleaning and delivering refuse and recycling materials to the landfill.

• Various types of solid waste equipment including front load side load rear load and roll-off collection vehicles.

• An articulated tractor.
