Do you have a passion for building robust automated tests If so we invite you to join the Apple Pay Quality Engineering team responsible for ensuring the highest quality of Apple Pay products that surprise and delight millions of customers. As a Quality Engineer youll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and seamlessness of Apple Pay a service that is constantly evolving with cutting edge features. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills strong technical and debugging skills and a drive to make a difference. To be successful in this role you should be a seasoned developer with strong programming fundamentals. This includes designing documenting and building automated tests at scale.

Creating and maintaining automated UI test cases and reporting test resultsnWorking onsite to test new software on Apples unreleased handheld devicesnContributing to the design and development of testing toolsnPrioritizing scheduling and communicating the status of your worknDiving deep to resolve highly technical issues in complex systemsnTriaging automation failures and driving them to quick resolutionnWorking with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and maintaining test development roadmapsnCommunicating clearly and concisely with ability to tailor communication to a given audiencenStrong organizational skills enabling both independent and team worknLeveraging AI to streamline and optimize your work

BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experiencen3 years of experience with programming skills in Python Swift and with Git and codebase managementn3 years of experience with test methodologies (unit testing integration testing performance testing functional testing etc)nExperience with developing test strategies including writing test plans test cases custom tools and testing architecturesnAbility to investigate debug and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperativelynExperience with API testing and familiarity with server architecture

Good understanding of CI/CD principles and the optimal way to design testing strategy for cloud applicationsnExperience developing UI automation preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTestnFamiliarity with AI/ML solutionsnAbility to develop and maintain testing toolsnHighly organized creative motivated and passionate about achieving resultsnAn enthusiasm for user-focused design and high-quality productsnStrong passion for quality assurance in software including experience in finding investigating and fixing bugs
