Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found Creativity Apps team at Apple is seeking a Software Image Quality Manager to lead mentor and grow a team of Image Quality Engineers focused on photo and video editing features. This role requires a highly proactive individual with strong creative technical and analytical skills and a passion for image/color science computer vision and on-device machine learning. In this role you will be responsible for planning designing maintaining and overseeing the Image/Video quality evaluation and validation of AI and ML models used in photo and video editing features ensuring their accuracy performance and impact on image/video quality. You will collaborate closely with engineering product and design teams to understand feature requirements identify potential quality risks and help mitigate them throughout the development lifecycle. You will establish and maintain objective and subjective image quality metrics and benchmarks. 5 years of experience in imaging video processing or computational photography quality with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity managing a teamnProven experience in image quality evaluation and testing for photo and video applicationsnStrong understanding of digital image processing color/image science compression algorithms and video codecsnExperience with AI/ML model evaluation and validation particularly in computer vision or image manipulation contextsnKnowledge of HDR workflows and advanced color grading techniquesnExperience with objective and subjective image quality assessment techniquesnExperience in testing with GenAI Repair using AI/LLMs for Image/Video Quality EvaluationsnProficiency with relevant QA tools and software testing methodologiesnExcellent communication interpersonal and leadership skillsnAbility to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple prioritiesnBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Image Processing or a related technical field.

Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in image processingnFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python) for test automation and data analysisniOS and macOS familiarity
