Software Engineer, Platform

Location: San Francisco or New York City

• Build and maintain core backend systems that power platform operations including contracts payouts and fraud-related workflows
• Design and implement identity and access management systems to ensure secure just-in-time access across the platform
• Translate complex operational requirements into scalable reliable backend services
• Improve system reliability security and performance across foundational infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering product and operations teams to support high-impact platform initiatives
• Contribute to internal tooling and platform improvements that enhance developer productivity and system robustness
• Operate in a fast-moving environment flexing across teams and priorities as needed

• 4 years of experience building and shipping production backend systems at scale
• Strong backend engineering skills in a modern programming language (e.g. Python Go etc.)
• Experience designing APIs data models and scalable service architectures
• Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver practical reliable solutions quickly
• Strong ownership mindset with experience building foundational systems
• Solid understanding of system reliability performance and security best practices

• Experience with identity access control or enterprise access management systems
• Familiarity with security and authentication/authorization patterns
• Experience working on platform or infrastructure teams
• Exposure to high-scale systems or data-intensive applications
• Background in fast-paced startup environments

• Base salary: $130K $400K meaningful equity
