Job Summary
Role Overview:
The Software Engineer Expert will lead a team within the C&IB Payments Technology organization overseeing the design development and delivery of Java-based applications supporting enterprise payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of software engineers including performance management and career development
Lead Agile delivery processes and ensure alignment with organizational standards
Oversee full software development lifecycle execution
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives
Ensure adherence to architecture standards security practices and compliance requirements
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and delivery outcomes
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience leading software engineering teams
Strong technical background in Java development and distributed systems
Experience with Agile methodologies
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design build and maintain technology solutions for a major business segment.
- Leads and guides the development and implementation of multiple complex organization-wide systems.
- Develops strategies on all phases of software engineering life cycle using agile methods.
- Advises on more complex software procedures and products and leads complex problem solving for a major business segment.
- Provides solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation.
- Provides guidance training and technical support to engineers on software design development testing and implementation.
