Work Schedule

This is a fulltime exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule with standard business hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in EDT time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours including earlier later or additional hours with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington NC or Durham NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location either Burlington or Durham supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Have ownership mindset and lead software development projects from conception to deployment and support including design architecture implementation and monitoring
• Conduct code reviews ensuring quality standards and best practices are followed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Proactive self-starter in identifying and resolving technical challenges troubleshooting complex issues
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technology roadmap
• Collaborate with members on projects that include the product or platform and stakeholder teams.
• Deliver the teams goals on time and with high quality.
• Understands the business context and how it intersects with the teams goals.
• Consistently write code that is flexible reusable efficient and adaptable.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 or more years of software development experience.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience building agentic AI workflows and multi-agent systems to automate complex solutions.
• 1 or more years of experience working with kubernetes container orchestration cache systems (e.g. Redis) message queuing systems (RMQ/Kafka/SQS) workflow orchestrators (e.g. Nextflow) storage options and types (NAS NFS S3 S3 bucket).
• 3 or more years of experience building scalable systems using public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• 3 or more years of experience in building and enhancing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD).
• 1 or more years of experience building and working with microservices.
• 3 or more years of experience working with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• 3 or more years of experience in designing systems and APIs that are maintainable debuggable and observable.

Additional Job Standards

• Strong foundation in software design principles.
• Expertise in Python or high-level interpreted object-oriented programming language.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality maintainable code.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to foster and effectively work with highly inclusive and diverse teams.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of the language tools libraries and systems used by the team.
• Proactive communication with stakeholders to create win-win outcomes.

Pay Range: $annually

All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees / certificationsas well as internal equity and market position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
