Software Development Engineer II, Core Selling Partner Experience

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions across the full development lifecycle including requirements gathering system design coding testing deployment and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer and business needs translating them into well-architected technical solutions that balance scalability performance and maintainability.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers through code reviews design discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions raising the overall quality bar for your teams software.
- Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues driving permanent fixes and continuously improving system reliability and team processes.
- Evaluate and integrate modern tools and approaches including generative AI capabilities to improve development productivity code quality and the overall customer experience.

A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing a pull request from a teammate providing feedback that strengthens both the code and the engineer behind it. Mid-morning you join a design review where you present your approach for a new feature fielding questions and refining your plan with input from peers. After lunch you dive into implementation writing clean and well-tested code. Later you investigate an operational metric that looks off trace it to a configuration issue and ship a fix before end of day.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
