Job Summary for QA Automation Engineer
- Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Serenity BDD.
- Create BDD test scenarios utilizing Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Leverage Agentic AI and AI coding assistants to generate and optimize automated test scripts.
- Review and refine AI-generated test scripts for quality reliability and maintainability.
- Execute various types of tests including functional regression smoke integration and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Build scalable and reusable automation frameworks following best practices.
- Analyze test results report defects and coordinate with developers for resolution.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions).
- Prepare test reports and dashboards using Serenity reporting tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for AI-assisted automation practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 5 years of experience in QA automation.
- Proficiency in Java Selenium WebDriver and Serenity BDD.
- Strong understanding of BDD concepts and Cucumber/Gherkin syntax.
- Experience with Agentic AI or generative AI tools for automated test script generation.
- Ability to review and maintain AI-generated automation code.
- Experience with JUnit/TestNG Maven/Gradle and Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Azure DevOps GitHub Actions).
- Strong API testing skills (REST Assured/Postman).
- Experience with SQL databases and query writing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI-powered test automation platforms (e.g. GitHub Copilot Microsoft Copilot OpenAI-based tools).
- Familiarity with Playwright or Cypress.
- Exposure to Docker Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter).
- Knowledge of test data management and service virtualization.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted testing into enterprise SDLC and CI/CD workflows.
