Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:

A masters degree in social work.

NOTE:
Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.

Job Duties:

• Provides psychiatric social work assistance to persons with co-occurring mental health and substance disorders and their families.
• Collaborates with the CAHSD psychiatrist and other healthcare professionals in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provides direct and indirect counseling services including individual group and family treatment to children and adults with co-occurring disorders ranging from age six to adulthood.

• Completing the necessary clinical requirements for insurance authorization.

• Screen calls for admission determine of clients meet admission criteria schedule clients for orientation group and/or refer to other community agencies.

• Attend Interdisciplinary staff and staffing meetings as well as supervisory meetings.

• Provide statistical reports as required by the facility manager.

Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday 4 hours on Friday.

Location:Capital Area Human Services Districts Ascension Behavioral Health (ABH).

Compensation:Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
