Job Summary
Purpose: The Social Work Supervisor oversees clinical service delivery across HBCI and CFTSS programs ensuring high-quality trauma-informed care for children youth and families. HBCI delivers short-term intensive crisis intervention to prevent hospitalization while CFTSS provides ongoing community-based supports to promote stability and functioning. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring program quality staff performance and the integration of services across Overview:The Social Work Supervisor provides clinical administrative and programmatic leadership across both the HBCI and CFTSS service lines. This role ensures high-quality trauma-informed and evidence-based service delivery while supporting staff performance documentation compliance and community Supervisor maintains a dual-role function that establishes distinct expectations across HBCI and CFTSS ensuring accountability for Staten Islandbased crisis program oversight (HBCI) and citywide service delivery group implementation and community partnerships (CFTSS).The Supervisor may provide case coverage for short periods in both programs due to staffing needs such as Interventionist time off. LMHPs are expected to be licensed by the New York State Education Department and operate within the practitioners scope of practice as defined in NYS law. These include but are not limited to: Licensed Psychologists Licensed Clinical/Masters Social Workers Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists Licensed Mental Health Counselors or Licensed Creative Arts TherapistKEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSA. Clinical Supervision & Staff DevelopmentProvide regular individual and group supervision to clinical staff across HBCI and CFTSSOffer clinical guidance on complex cases crisis interventions and family engagement strategiesConduct case consultations and case conferences to ensure quality careEvaluate staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and professional development Support onboarding and training of new staff including model fidelity and best practicesB. Documentation & ComplianceReview and approve clinical documentation to ensure accuracy timeliness and regulatory compliance Ensure adherence to OMH DOHMH OCFS and Medicaid (CFTSS) standardsMonitor documentation quality and implement corrective actions as neededUtilize electronic health record systems (e.g. myAvatar) to maintain complianceComplete all reporting documentation as required by DOHMH OMH and JBFCS.C. HBCI Program Oversight (Staten Island-Based)Provide day-to-day supervision of HBCI staff and program operationsEnsure fidelity to the HBCI model and crisis stabilization frameworkLead team meetings and clinical case reviews Provide coverage support when needed due to staff absenceParticipate in after-hours on-call support for crisis responseD. CFTSS Service Delivery & Group Implementation (Citywide)Develop and facilitate therapeutic and skills-based groups for youth and/or caregiversOversee group curriculum development and implementation pathwaysIdentify service gaps and build group-based programming aligned with community needsEnsure staff are trained and supported in delivering CFTSS services (e.g. CPST PSR Family Peer Support)E. Community Engagement & Provider PartnershipsServe as a liaison to schools providers and community-based organizations Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and service partnersDevelop pathways for referrals and program collaboration particularly for CFTSS group expansionRepresent the program in cross-system meetings and stakeholder forumsF. Quality Assurance & Program DevelopmentMonitor service delivery outcomes and identify opportunities for program improvementSupport implementation of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices Contribute to program expansion innovation and integration across service linesAssist with audits reporting and continuous quality improvement initiativesADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE (List additional functions needed to reach goals):EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED (List all that is required to achieve this position):Licensure (LMSW LCSW LMHC LMFT LCAT) in a Behavioral Health or related field EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE (List what the desire to reach goals):A minimum of three years of related experience. Clinical knowledge of mental illness serious emotional disturbance and substance use disorders. VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXTERITY:Must be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs. WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL EFFORTInfrequent travel throughout the assigned borough (Staten Island) and NYC.
