About the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football Leagues AFC South Division. The Jaguars are one of the NFLs youngest franchises playing their first regular season home game on Sept. 3 1995 in Jacksonville Fla. and have since won five division titles. The Jaguars are owned by Shahid Khan a visionary leader whose businesses include Flex-N-Gate Fulham Football Club All Elite Wrestling Bold Events and Iguana Investments. Since 2012 Mr. Khan has had a positive impact on the Northeast Florida community through his investment in the team capital improvements to EverBank Stadium and the creation of Dailys Place which hosts upwards of 40 concerts a year. Through the Jaguars Foundation the Khan Family has donated more than $39 million to many worthy causes including in three key areas of focus: neighborhood revitalization youth development and NFL-league-wide initiatives.

The Jaguars and Iguana Investments opened the Miller Electric Center a state-of-the-art sports performance center and home to Jaguars football operations in 2023. Over the next several years the Jaguars and Iguana Investments will complete Phase 1 of the Jacksonville Shipyards a revitalization of the St. Johns Riverfront which will include a Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences an office building inclusive of the Jaguars front office headquarters and a modernized marina and support building as well as begin additional projects to transform the area around the stadium into a year-round mixed-use sports and entertainment district.

In 2024 the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville announced plans to move forward with a reimagined Stadium of the Future securing Jaguars football in Jacksonville for generations to come and a continuation of annual traditions of the Florida-Georgia Football Classic and TaxSlayer Gator Bowl while also opening opportunities for future Super Bowls Final Four tournaments college football playoffs marquee concerts and more. The Stadium of the Future features a protective canopy wider concourses new communal spaces scenic lookout decks immersive in-bowl technology new seating types and a public Floridian nature park.

Summary
The Social Responsibility Assistant supports the Jacksonville Jaguars community engagement and philanthropic initiatives by coordinating employee volunteerism and advancing league- and club-driven social responsibility programs. This position oversees the Jaguars Employee Volunteer Program and collaborates with corporate partners nonprofit organizations and community stakeholders to develop and implement meaningful initiatives that leverage the power of football to create opportunities through advocacy service and community investment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about serving in the community possesses exceptional organizational and relationship-building skills and can effectively engage with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and educational backgrounds while serving as a positive ambassador for the Jaguars organization. This position reports to the Vice President of Social Responsibility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and create Employee Volunteer events manage volunteer software and provide impact reports.
  • Assist in executing key social responsibility programs such as the NFL Changemaker Award Jaguars Community Champion and Inspire Change gameday programming.
  • Provide general support for Social Responsibility by managing tasks assignments and projects relating to programs events and gameday functions.
  • Coordinate with Player Development Community Relations and PR and help implement player-driven initiatives.
  • Support nonpartisan voter education initiatives throughout the community.
  • Assist in the management and reconciliation of shared department resources.
  • Develop and foster meaningful relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Assist and support Jaguars Foundation and NFL Initiatives as needed.
  • Manage deep storage space and inventory
Job Requirements
Required
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience working with youth in sports programs
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good standing driving record and valid drivers license
  • Reliable transportation to support frequent travel to community events outreach initiatives and other off-site functions throughout the Jacksonville area
  • Comfortable working in a wide variety of community settings and building meaningful relationships with individuals from all backgrounds
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs or more
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to confidently lead engaging presentations and discussions for youth adults and community groups.
  • Demonstrated passion for photography or content capturing
  • Strong ability to plan organize prioritize and multi-task to meet fluctuating demands and deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel MS Word PowerPoint)
Preferred
  • Prior experience in public policy community relations grassroots initiatives or education
  • Non-profit or community-programming background
  • Strong sense of community

Other Details
  • Term: September 2026 to May 2027 (flexible)
  • Part-time temporary: 29 hours per week
  • Applicants must be available to work on-site in Jacksonville Florida for the entirety of their seasonal employment.
