Job Summary

The Israel Institute at Regent University (Virginia Beach VA) is seeking a creative and self-motivated Social Media Manager to help maintain the online voice of the Institute across social media podcasting and other digital platforms. This role is ideal for a skilled content creator who is passionate about Israel and storytelling thrives in a mission-driven environment and is committed to the values of Excellence Innovation and position is responsible for the online face of the Israel Institute. Not only through some social media creation but also maintaining the podcast newsletter and other digital products.

Work Location:Virginia Beach VA(mostly on-campus with occasional possibility of remote work)

Salary:$40000 - $45000 annually

Essential Duties:

  • Creation and management ofmultiple pieces ofcontentper weekfeaturing Israel Institute leadership students and activities
    • Handling DMs to Institute accounts or flagging anyfor additional input
    • Filming andeditingvideos
    • Photographing events
    • Track basic content performance metrics and share weekly insights with the team
  • Brand management
  • Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant laws regulations and organizational policies
  • Production of our podcast hosted by the Director with at least one episode a week
  • Working with partners to produce resources for partner content creators
  • Assist with occasional trips

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay up on social mediabest practices tools and strategies

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelors degree or relevant work experiencepreferred
  • Socialmedia experience(content creationfamiliarity withdifferent formats and tools that increase visibility and effectivenessis a plus)
  • Proficiencywith technicalaspects of content creation and management
  • Knowledgeofor experience with Israelis a plus

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to:Assistant Director of Israel Institute
  • Positions reporting to this position:student workers as assigned
  • Advises consults and coordinates frequently or regularly with:Director of IsraelInstitute and student workers of the Institute
