Small Deliveries Driver

The Small Deliveries Driver is an essential link in keeping projects supplied and running smoothly. Operating pickup trucks trailers small trucks and box trucks youll handle timely transportation of tools equipment and materials between our shops and job sites. From loading and securing cargo to preparing and verifying delivery documentation youll ensure every shipment arrives safely and on schedule.

In addition to making deliveries youll support the team by assisting with fleet vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups helping with maintenance projects and performing tool shop tasks during downtime. Your attention to safety reliable driving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities make you a vital part of our operations.

Position Summary

Operate a pickup truck with trailer small truck and box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Prepare receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods (BOL) to ensure timely service. Coordinate deliveries with field/transportation. Deliver chairs/tents/grill to worksites when needed. Use forklift to load/unload trailers when required. Assist fleet with vehicle drop-off/pick up requests. Assist maintenance with projects. Work related tool shop functions in down time.

Role Responsibilities

• Load secure and unload cargo.
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to company policy and statutory regulations.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Prepares receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Responsible for processing and inventory of small tools.
• Must hold valid drivers license.
• Must be eligible to drive under RKs insurance policy.

Qualifications

• Must valid drivers license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability

• Work outside inside and in dusty noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places tight places confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb balance squat kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
