Position Summary

Were seeking a Part-Time Home Health Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing therapy team in the Hutchinson area. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide individualized therapy services that support patients with communication speech language cognitive and swallowing needs in the home health setting.

Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
Provide speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes
Assist patients in improving communication cognitive and swallowing skills as directed by the SLP
Monitor document and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques home exercises and communication strategies
Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Maintain a professional compassionate and patient-centered approach during all visits

Qualifications

Associates degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (required)
Active Kansas SLPA license/certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of SLPA experience preferred
Previous pediatric or adult therapy experience preferred
Home health experience preferred but not required
Strong communication organization and time management skills
Dependable self-motivated and compassionate
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
