Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:45 AM-3:15 PM
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a school-based setting. The SLP will conduct evaluations develop individualized treatment plans support IEP goals collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide services primarily through a classroom integration/push-in model.
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary evaluation team (MET) meetings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and communication goals.
- Attend and lead IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.
- Collaborate with teachers parents special education staff and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs.
- Provide speech and language therapy primarily through a classroom integration/push-in model.
- Support students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and communication systems.
- Supervise and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when applicable.
- Provide coaching and consultation to classroom staff regarding speech language and communication strategies.
- Monitor student progress and document achievement toward IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate clinical and educational documentation including IEP records and Medicaid billing.
- Participate in staff training professional development and school team meetings.
- Maintain consistent attendance and comply with school and program policies.
- Caseload varies based on staffing needs and may reach up to 70 students during peak staffing periods.
- Primarily a push-in/classroom-based service delivery model rather than traditional one-on-one therapy.
- Experience managing a high-volume school-based caseload is preferred.
