Job Summary
Dakota State University is seeking a Slate CRM & Technology Specialist to serve as the universitys primary Slate Lead for admissions operations. This position supports undergraduate graduate and international admissions by managing Slate CRM processes supporting users improving workflows developing reports and helping admissions teams make effective use of technology.
This role works closely with admissions staff ITS and external Slate partners to support recruitment application management communications reporting and enrollment operations. The successful candidate will be a problem solver self-learner strong communicator and trusted resource who can translate technical concepts into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Slate CRM across admissions units.
- Configure and maintain Slate functionality including forms portals communications workflows reporting and application processes.
- Provide user support troubleshooting training and documentation.
- Develop reports dashboards and data solutions that support admissions operations and decision-making.
- Collaborate with admissions leadership ITS and external partners on system enhancements integrations and process improvements.
- Lead testing and implementation of new Slate features updates and admissions-cycle changes.
- Support communication plans and applicant-facing experiences within Slate.
- Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements that enhance recruitment and enrollment operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to learn complex systems and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM platforms especially Slate.
- Higher education admissions enrollment management or student services experience.
- Experience with reporting data analysis or business process improvement.
- Familiarity with SQL HTML CSS or JavaScript.
