Medicaid Provider Field Representative

Location:Austin TX (Remote Local Candidates Only)
Territory: Travel throughout the assigned Austin area territory
Pay Rate:$24/hr.
Schedule: Monday through Friday Full-time
Travel: Daily local travel required with mileage reimbursement. A reliable personal vehicle is required.

Are you passionate about healthcare enjoy working independently and thrive in a role that combines fieldwork with remote flexibility We are seeking a Medicaid Provider Field Representative to serve as the primary liaison between our organization and Medicaid providers throughout the Austin area.

In this role youll work from home while traveling throughout your assigned territory to conduct face-to-face provider visits educate healthcare providers on Medicaid policies and help ensure compliance with program requirements. Youll enjoy the autonomy of managing your own schedule while collaborating with a supportive remote team.

What Youll Do

• Manage an assigned provider territory while working remotely from your home office.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled in-person visits with Medicaid providers throughout the Austin area.
• Educate providers on Medicaid policies procedures and available resources.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and internal teams.
• Monitor provider compliance and identify opportunities for education and process improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation reports and activity tracking using internal systems.
• Analyze reports to prioritize daily activities and effectively manage your territory.
• Participate in virtual meetings team collaboration and ongoing training sessions.
• Ensure all contractual obligations and service standards are consistently met.
• Travel daily throughout the assigned territory up to three hours each direction from your home when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a provider-facing healthcare support or healthcare customer service role.
• Experience working with State Medicaid programs or strong knowledge of Medicaid policies and provider requirements.
• Experience processing travel and expense reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Reliable personal vehicle valid drivers license and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting provider education or outreach.
• Experience working remotely in a field-based position.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing a geographic territory.
