Position Summary
The Site Safety Supervisor ensures a safe working environment on construction sites by implementing and enforcing safety policies conducting daily inspections and promoting a culture of safety among all personnel. This role focuses on compliance with OSHA construction standards and project-specific safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and document findings.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Lead daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for crews and subcontractors.
- Monitor use of PPE and safe operation of equipment.
- Investigate incidents and near misses; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and submit reports to project management.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate hazards.
- Ensure conformance to General Contractors Safety Program
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in occupational safety Environmental Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Excellent communication and training skills.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30-hour Construction
- First Aid/CPR
- CSP or CHMM preferred
