Job Summary
As a Safety Manager in Brooklyn NYC NY youll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority its a core value. Youll ensure best practices are implemented compliance standards are met and every team member goes home safe each day.
As a Site Safety and Health Officer youll support safety oversight for a dredging/marine construction project in Brooklyn NY. Safety is more than a priority its a core value.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily onsite safety oversight in accordance with EMand OSHA requirements
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain written safety logs
- Review and enforce APPs AHAs and site-specific safety procedures
- Conduct site safety orientations for employees subcontractors and visitors
- Track and follow up on safety deficiencies through resolution
- Support incident/near-miss investigations and required reporting
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements
- Participate in pre-work preparatory and progress meetings as needed
- Experience as an SSHO or Safety Professional on USACE marine dredging or heavy civil projects preferred
- EM Hour required
- OSHA 30 required
- First Aid/CPR certification within the last 2 years required
- Strong working knowledge of APPs AHAs daily reporting and field safety documentation
- Ability to be onsite full-time for the duration of the project
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
