Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley Missouri.

The St. Louis Site Readiness team has an exciting opportunity to fulfill a key position in the organization as Project Management Specialist. The position will report the Sr. Manager of St Louis Site Readiness focused on business stability through capacity and constraint management and Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) process discipline to ensure the site is positioned to meet commitments.


The position focuses heavily on program management best practices (PMBP) with an emphasis on planning coordination execution and alignment across teams; avid data users with a strength in analysis and critical thinking. Expertise in identifying and resolving constraints formulating data-driving options/courses of action (COAs) for business decisions to reduce/ minimize risk and capture opportunities. Turn strategy into action by organizing work aligning teams and making sure projects are executed effectively.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement Program Management Best Practices to ensure performance to plan; develop and maintain baselines improve integrated planning and execution of critical projects
  • Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) management including BORIS baselines and execution for critical projects and priorities
  • Support business scenarios work placement and footprint optimizations in partnership with Strategy program and functional stakeholders
  • Maintain stakeholder alignment across site programs project managers and functionalleadership on project portfolio
  • Support team operating rhythm Concept of Operations (CONOPS) program performance metrics and reporting
  • Works with vendors and project management teams (both Boeing and external) to baseline project budgets and predicted spend over the life of projects
  • Ensures objectives are met by scheduling de-conflicting and prioritizing key tasks and proactively communicating leadership direction guidance and expectations
  • Completing special projects and ad hoc tasks as required/ prioritized

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 3 or more years of experience in project or program management including planning stakeholder coordination risk/constraint identification and execution of integrated organizational plans.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working with executive leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master8 years related work experience 14 years related work experience etc.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
