Site Procurement Manager Alpharetta GA
The Manager Site Procurement leads the local Site representation of Global Procurement. The role holder is accountable for the local Procurement volume and the different focus areas of Procurement activities within the location contributing in particular to the Innovation projects through the PPL role and to the Category management through the Strategic Purchaser role. The ideal candidate is also responsible for implementing regional and global initiatives for continuous improvement and to set priorities for the local organization based on the regional and global guidance. The role holder also represents Procurement towards the local Senior Management.
This position oversees the procurement of materials supplies and service categories supporting the Prepared Foods North Americas Service business segment. Core responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the purchasing team to achieve KPIs such as PO placement lead time suppliers past due on time delivery quality and cost reduction.
- Conducting daily management meetings to drive quick action and resolution of purchasing and supply chain related issues.
- Collaborating with our suppliers including the negotiation of lead time reduction purchase price order quantity stocking program to foster mutually beneficial relationships meeting both near and long-term business goals.
- Developing and owning supplier score cards on KPIs driving continuous improvements in suppliers performance and our internal procurement processes.
- Developing and owning leader standard work and operating procedures ensuring all lead time and cost data in ERP remain current and accurate.
- Partnering with strategic sourcing category management and leadership of product lines to achieve and sustain supply chain health to support day to day and future businesses.
- Collaborating and supporting day-to-day operations such as customer services project management and warehouse to ensure speedy resolution of daily business needs.
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives and empowering team members in root cause finding and problem solving.
- Developing purchasing team members through professional growth and advancement pathways.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain operations logistics or similarly related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience working in purchasing for a manufacturing/warehousing facility.
- Minimum of 5 years in a purchasing leadership role.
- Career path that demonstrates progression of responsibilities in purchasing. Working knowledge of purchasing sourcing supplier performance management inventory strategies & practices and negotiation with suppliers to achieve cost reduction.
- Capable of working within a major ERP system including the extraction and analyses of data that leads to KPI improvements.
- Intermediate MS Office suite skills including preparing PowerPoint presentations to upper-level leadership and using MS Excel to display and analyze data.
- Experience in large volume and high pace warehousing operations is highly desirable.
- Experience in Six Sigma and lean methodologies is highly desirable.
Travel & Location
- This is an on-site position at the JBT Alpharetta location. Candidate must maintain domicile or willing to relocate to the Alpharetta GA qualified candidates only will be considered for reloction within the US.

Supervisory Responsibility:
4-6 exempt employees report directly to this position.
Financial Responsibility: Responsible for approximately $8.5 million in open PO backlog for Customer Care supporting a $120 million business segment.

Work Environment:
Spends approximately 60-70% of time in an office or meeting environment. Exposed to possible shop or site installation hazards including heavy equipment shop traffic uneven/slippery footing inclement weather etc. Installation sites require appropriate safety measures such as hard hats safety shoes and safety glasses.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting and operating computer. Frequent walking and standing. Spends approximately 10-15% of time in a field environment to meet with customers suppliers account managers field technicians etc. to monitor and discuss project scope site conditions schedule cost etc. and to resolve critical supplier or installation site problems. Fast paced environment with multiple priorities constant change and a variety of problems and people involved.
