Job Summary
Our Client is a leading Civil Engineering and Construction Company delivering high quality projects across the UK.
With an office the North East they operate in all aspects of Construction including highways and Water Infrastructure through to Commercial and Residential projects.
Due to an exciting Growth and Development Framework and a new highways realignment scheme starting imminently they have a fantastic new opportunity for an experience Site Engineer to join their team based out of their Stockton on Tees and covering sites in the local area. The successful candidate will play a key role within the team through programme management subcontractor management and client engagement. There will be the opportunity to continue to develop professionally with the support of the Framework team. The typical scope of works and experience required is drainage ducting highway (footway and carriageway) construction streetlighting signage signlas and landscaping packages. Experience in these areas is essential in order to hit the ground running in terms of understanding the quality aspects (specification etc). Experience in working in the water sector is also essential.
The successful candidates will be responsible for day to day site activities controlling sub contractors and ensuring that material supplies are available. Key responsibilities are meeting deadlines and making sure that quality standards remain high whilst keeping the health safety and welfare of the site workforce a top successful applicant must have excellent management skills with a thorough knowledge of both traditional and timber frame construction combined with a comprehensive health and safety understanding.
There will be daily briefings to take part in and to conduct to our clients staff on site paperwork required to be completed for both our clients and the main contractor . you will be required to liaise with the main contractor and represent our client ordering of some materials via our clients office e.g. concrete slots aggregates and general organising of the work for the staff on site.
We are ideally looking for someone with Main Contractor experience and experience in Groundworks Civils and Foundations and other duties will include:
* Carry work with main contractor and represent our client in a professional manner.
* Required to carry out Daily Briefings with our men take part in with client.
* Complete paperwork using paper based and digital means complete client specific paperwork where required.
* Order materials via our clientss office e.g. concrete slots aggregates some materials
* Organise work for our clients staff and supervise any sub contractors appointed by our client.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an online induction for the main contractor prior to commencing on site.

CSCS Card
SMSTS
First Aid
Full PPE.
