Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a qualified individual with industry experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Building Engineer or the Account Manager-Engineering theMaintenance Technicianwill be tasked with general maintenance and repairs of facility equipment and property structures as well as grounds maintenance. Candidates must pass a background check possess a valid Hawaii drivers license access to a reliable vehicle previous hands-on maintenance experience proficiency in light plumbing electrical work HVAC carpentry and painting/drywall all tasks must be performed in accordance with EPA Hazmat and OSHA safety regulations. Excellent communication skills and the capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team are crucial. -Position: Site Maintenance Technician

-Work Location: Maui

-Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

-Compensation per hour: $21.00

The Site Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in executing routine maintenance repairs and preventative measures at designated commercial properties ensuring that facilities are safe functional and well-kept. This position involves a range of skilled maintenance tasks responding to service requests identifying maintenance concerns and completing work in a timely professional manner all while upholding HBMs standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

-Experience in commercial building maintenance grounds maintenance or a similar trade is preferred.

-Proficient understanding of fundamental electrical plumbing carpentry and general repair techniques.

-Ensure that mechanical equipment and systems are functioning properly and repaired as needed.

-Capability to independently troubleshoot maintenance issues.

-Strong work ethic dependability and dedication to providing high-quality service

-Provide excellent customer service while interacting with co-workers property managers vendors and customers.

-Engage in constant movement including standing walking bending and stretching throughout shifts.

-Carry push pull and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)

-Conduct general building maintenance repairs and preventative upkeep.

-Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing electrical systems carpentry painting drywall flooring and other facility components.

-Complete work orders promptly while adhering to high standards of craftsmanship.

-Perform routine site inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.

-Keep tools equipment and work areas safe and organized.

-Communicate effectively with supervisors property management and customers.

-Adhere to all company safety policies procedures and OSHA regulations.

-Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

-Maintain detailed records of completed work and materials utilized

-Valid Hawaii Drivers License is preferred.
